Blog posts are typically supportive pages meant to help drive visitors through your funnel toward conversion. Your blog could be an acquisition channel, which visitors arrive to via search engine. Or you could use your blog to nurture leads after they’re acquired from other channels. Either way, you’ll want to ensure each post spurs the visitor on toward eventual conversion. Here are the steps you’ll need to follow.
Make sure each blog post contains a CTA.
Ensure the CTAs you include point people to the right place. For example, if you want people to sign up for your free trial, make sure your CTA links them to your site’s Signup page.
Check if readers click these CTAs.
In your Oribi account, group your blog pages as a Magic Event. If you need a refresher on how to do that, check out Win #2 for this week.
Create a funnel using the Magic Event of your blog pages as one of the steps. See how many users continue from the blog pages to the desired conversion.
Alternatively, you can use Oribi’s Explore Page Visits section. Select your blog’s Magic Event from the dropdown options, and scroll to the Button Clicks section of the page. There, you’ll see a breakdown of which buttons were clicked and how many times, along with their conversion rates.
Once you’ve made sure all your blog posts include CTAs and have begun tracking their conversion rates, it’s time to optimize. Check out Win #5 to find out how!
