Export to Klaviyo

Exporting Oribi’s events to your Klaviyo account will enable you to create and send personalized, highly targeted campaigns based on the actions visitors take on your website.
All you need for this integration are your active Oribi and Klaviyo accounts. Follow the steps below to activate the integration and get started exporting your Oribi events to Klaviyo.
  1. Enable email integration in Oribi (skip if your site is built with Shopify as it is enabled by default).
In order for Oribi to associate visitors who log in or sign up on your site with their respective contacts in Klaviyo, you’ll need to first enable Oribi’s email integration feature. You can read instructions on how to set that up here.
  2. Connect your Oribi account to Klaviyo.
In your Oribi account, click Settings >> Ecosystem. From the dropdown just below the Ecosystem tab, select the ecosystem you’d like to connect with Klaviyo.

Click Connect A Platform, choose Klaviyo from the list of platforms, and follow the onscreen instructions. When prompted, enter a name for your Klaviyo account in Oribi, along with your 6-character public Klaviyo API key. Click Go to Klaviyo’s settings page to be taken straight to your account's public API key, which you can then copy and paste into the field.
To disconnect your ecosystem from Klaviyo, go to Settings > Ecosystem in your Oribi account. Click Disconnect from Klaviyo under the Klaviyo tab.

  3. Select which Magic Events you’d like to export to Klaviyo. To choose the events you’d like to export and use in your Klaviyo email segments, go to Manage Events > Manage Magic Events in your Oribi account.
Next to the events you want to export to Klaviyo, click Export Event. If the event is already being exported to a different platform, click the down arrow on the Exported Event button and choose Edit. Type how you want the event to appear in Klaviyo and click Export.

For this example, we’ll use “Kids Clothing - Product Pages” as our event.

  4. View your exported events in Klaviyo. In your Klaviyo account, click Lists and Segments in the left side menu, followed by Create List / Segment > Segment. In the Definition dropdown, choose What someone has done (or not done). Then, in the Metric dropdown, scroll to the API section. This is where you’ll see your exported Oribi events.
And there you have it! Whenever a visitor to your site performs one of the events you exported, that data will be sent to Klaviyo. You can then use that event to create highly personalized email marketing segments in Klaviyo.
